BETHPAGE, N.Y., February 18, 2011 – The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences yesterday honored Cablevision Systems Corporation’s (NYSE:CVC) local media services — News 12 Networks, MSG Varsity and Newsday.com — with a total of 141 New York Emmy®Award nominations. News 12 Networks received a record-breaking 108 nominations, once again making it the most Emmy-nominated local news organization in the tri-state area. Starting a new tradition of excellence, MSG Varsity received an impressive 32 nominations in its first year. Newsday.com also received a nomination for the second year in a row. The award nominations were announced yesterday at the studios of CUNY-TV in New York City.

(Woodbury, New York, June 15, 2010) – News 12 Long Island has recently been honored with a number of prestigious awards for outstanding journalistic efforts.
“Our staff puts out excellent work on such a consistent basis,” said Pat Dolan, News Director of News 12 Long Island. “As a team dedicated to the local news they cover every day, they feel a special connection to our communities, and it shows in the work they do.”
In all, thirteen top honors were awarded to News 12 Long Island by the New York Press Club, Press Club of Long Island, and the New York Associated Press Broadcasters Association. News 12 Long Island also won seven second-place awards, five third-place awards and a Special Mention.
Specifically, the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association presented News 12 Long Island with five First Place awards and a Special Mention on Saturday, June 5 at their annual awards banquet in Saratoga Springs. Press Club of Long Island awarded News 12 Long Island six First Place honors and seven second place honors on Thursday, June 10 at the Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury, New York. The New York Press Club bestowed two top honors on Monday, June 14 at the Water Club in New York City.
